Associate Attorney, Business Law & Estate Planning

Independence, OH $80,000 to $110,000 / yr Full-Time

An ideal role for an attorney with 1 to 3 years of experience who wants direct mentorship, meaningful client exposure, and the opportunity to grow with a modern boutique firm, not get lost in a big-firm machine.

  • Lead client meetings and manage legal matters end-to-end
  • Draft operating agreements, trust packages, and real estate contracts

About the Role

Supports business law, estate planning, real estate, and legacy-focused legal matters. Ideal for an attorney with 1 to 3 years of experience seeking direct mentorship and meaningful client exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading client meetings and managing legal matters from intake through completion.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents including operating agreements, trust packages, and real estate contracts.
  • Conducting legal research and managing workflows using tech-enabled systems.
  • Collaborating directly with the firm's managing attorney on complex matters.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in Ohio (or pending admission).
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in business law, estate planning, or real estate.
  • Strong communication skills and substantive writing ability.

Paralegal Position

Senior Estate & Business Paralegal Assistant

Independence, OH $55,000 to $70,000 / yr Full-Time

A senior-level paralegal role for an experienced professional who can independently manage complex estate planning and business formation workflows, and who values working at a firm that actually uses modern tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting complex estate planning documents including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
  • Preparing business formation filings (LLCs, corporations, operating agreements).
  • Coordinating real estate transactions and managing closing timelines.
  • Maintaining consistent client communication throughout each matter.
  • Managing case deadlines, workflows, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in estate planning and/or business law.
  • Proficiency with legal technology (Clio, WealthCounsel, etc.).
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through.
